2020 vs 2013 Shelby GT500 Comparision: An Owners Perspective.

Good write up, the 2020+ GT500 is the better car, just like the 13/14 GT500 is better than the 03/04 cobra. But all 3 have great potential and can go 8sec 1/4 mile times. I came so close to getting a 2022 grabber blue carbon package GT500, and a part of me wishes I would have gotten it, but the other part is happy I kept my 14. hindsight is 20/20, so hopefully I made the right call lol.

There is no wrong answer. Your 2014 is gorgeous.

I will say that the only car I regret selling was my 2014. Sold it thinking I was gonna buy a house immediately when we moved out to CO. That ****er was bad ass and such a fun car. I bought it new with only 8-9 miles on the clock.

The bastard that bought that car got one awesome ride. Full Kooks from the headers back, cammed out. It was so ****ing obnoxious LMAO.

In all aspeects it SHOULD be a better car. Just like the 14 Shelby was a better car than the 04 Cobra. My only flaw with it is that it is more or a Euro Sports Car and less of an American Muscle car than the 14 Shelby. Just an opinion be it popular or not.

When im done catching my own gears, I'm done with cars. It doesn't matter how old I get either. Shit, my mom is pushing 60 and she's about to buy another 6spd 5.0. It must be in the blood. The 20 may be better in a lot of ways, but that's absolutely a deal breaker to me. That and the $$. Good review though.

Damn, your GT500 sounds nasty, sad to hear you let her go, were you running NSR cams?

You can't beat the sound of the 5.4/5.8 engines with cams. I love my super stock cams

When one spends between 80 & 100K, that car better check all the boxes.
After ( 6 ) additional years of development, the 2020 was able to:
Equal the 13/14's 0 to 60 times. ( Ford's published specs )
Not equal the 13/14's 200 mph top end.
Not get by the gas guzzler tax.
20 - 22 owners usually state it's better in EVERY way, but in fact, the 13/14's were THAT good.
........................& then there are the options NOT available on the S550 !!

It was a complete ax murderer after a set of ARH LTH, catless H-pipe, tune, lower pulley and tune. The treacherous beast attempted to kill me with each spirited drive, and I loved her for it.
