The 2024 Ranger comes standard with a 2.3-liter four-cylinder EcoBoost engine, and a more powerful 2.7-liter EcoBoost V-6 will be available after launch. The truck features new driver-assist technologies, features for off-roading, and enhanced towing technology. And it debuts new offerings such as an available rear side step and rear seats that fold flat to more easily store large items in the cabin. It also comes with an embedded 4G LTE modem, enabling over-the-air software updates.

The new Ranger lineup also includes Ranger Raptor, a high-performance, off-road-oriented version of the truck. Ranger Raptor's 3.0-liter EcoBoost V-6 engine is paired with an advanced four-wheel drive system, a new electronically controlled on-demand two-speed transfer case, and front and rear locking differentials for better off-road traction, according to Ford. F-150 and Bronco also have Raptor models.

Ranger Raptor's engine delivers 405 horsepower and 430-pound-feet of torque. The truck comes with 33-inch all-terrain tires.

Starting at $56,960 for the base Rangarapta Im curious what a fully optioned one will end up at. I do like these way better than the Braptor but dont care for the bedside graphics at all, wonder how hard it will be to get one.

Vehicle prices are getting crazy, especially SUVs and trucks. Overall, the Ranger Raptor is good looking, has a lot of useful functionality, has plenty of power/torque, and has a decent interior. It will be interesting to see (1) what a loaded Raptor will list for, and (2) what availability will be.

Just researching curb weights to see what performance numbers it would put down. The technical specs from Ford are posted for the overseas versions so i assume it would translate slightly to the US variant when it comes out.

Shocked to find the EU version of the Ranger Raptor weighs 5400lbs curb weight. That just seems excessively heavy for a midsized truck.

An F150 Raptor w/ the 3.5 is 5900lbs according to Ford. So the Ranger Raptor isnt much lighter than a full sized Raptor.

Some fun Power/Weight numbers to other vehicles:
2023 Mitsubishi Mirage G4 - 27.8lbs/hp
1990 Austin Mini - 22.4lbs/hp
2021 F150 2.7 Ecoboost - 14.8lbs/hp
2023 Bronco Raptor - 14.25lbs/hp
2024+ Ranger Raptor - 13.75lbs/hp
2015 Fiesta ST - 13.7lbs/hp
2002 F150 Lightning - 12.2lbs/hp
2023 F150 Lightning Extended Range - 11.8lbs/hp
2021 Explorer ST - 11.7lbs/hp
2023 Mustang GT - 7.3lbs/hp
1966 Ford GT40 - 5.8Lbs/hp
2023 GT500 - 5.5lbs/hp
1965 Shelby Cobra 427 - 5.4lbs/hp
1995 Ford GT90 - 4.44lbs/hp
1995 McLaren F1 - 4.04lbs/hp
2023 Ariel Atom 3S -3.6lbs/hp
2011 Bugatti Veyron Super Sport - 3.37lbs/hp
NASA Space Shuttle - .12lbs/hp
NASA Saturn V Rocket - .038lbs/hp

you can get a f-250 4x4 with the 7.3l godzilla for the same amount of $$$ as a ranger raptor. Make it make sense...

i also hate how ford is bastardizing performance names and trim plates. f150 raptor, bronco raptor, ranger raptor and im sure maverick raptor is coming too

Kind of like the F250 Tremor, F150 Tremor, Ranger Tremor, Maverick Tremor?

tremor always felt like badge engineering... 99% identical part content to standard 4x4 model. Shocks and skid plates dont justify an entire trim level with $10k tacked on to the price, calling them Fx4 like they did for years was fine

Like the Ranger FX4 Level II?

F150 FX4 Level II in lieu of the Tremor name.

I find it odd that on the F250/350 the Tremor is a package, yet in the F150 it's a model.

I know it was 2013/14 with the F-150s...Maybe 2012s too?

But it was basically a Lariat with red piping on the seats, side graphics, black wheels, black grill, and painted bumpers.

I can verify that lol. I have a 2013 FX4, but it’s a fully optioned one and easily one of best looking trucks out there….. IMO lol I’m not biased or anything!

actually XLT, since FX4 was standard with cloth seats. You had to get the luxury package on top of that to get leather. Then you needed appearance package for the graphics, black wheels

Also, there were quite a few 13/14 FX4s ordered with 6.2ls

True. I saw about 10x's as many of the upper trimmed FX4s than the base models.
