Hey guys I'm wanting to change the gears in my car , I have an 08 gt500 making 470rwhp on a mustang Dyno.. Mods are cold air intake exhaust and a 2.60 pulley , the car runs 11.46 @ 124mph as it sits now with the 3.31 gears (stock) what are your thoughts and past experience with 4.10s or 3.73s?

for drag racing, choose whatever gets you across the stripe at max RPMs without hitting the limiter. There are some good calculators out there so you can eliminate trial and error as much as possible. Your MPH will fall but your ET will improve. For the street, the 3.73 would be a nice all-around compromise. BJ at VMP has commented on this topic more than once on this and the "other" board, he's a great source of knowledge.

What size tire are you running? Great time on your existing setup btw.

4.10s for your current power levels. if you'll upgrade for 600+ then 3.73 IMO
