Ouch lol 4.88's in the dd thats hardcore hahahah! Seriously tho id do your homework on that........im pretty sure you have to notch the carrier cross pin in your diff for the 4.88's even with the t-56 thats an aggressive setup for a dd........plus youll need the suspension and tire to take advantage of a setup like that! Will make your mach snappy for sure lol!

I am staying n/a and drive 8 miles round trip to work and back. It should not be any worse than a 4.56 gear in a 97 cobra. Yes, the cross pin will definitely need work.

The t56's have a long first gear. I say you should honestly do the 4.56's just because it would be a handful to get it to hook in 1st although its longer in the t56 than the 3650 with those 4.88's. Just my 2 cents. i think you would be happier with the 4.56. Plus you will be able to pull through first instead of just slide through it lol

I have a 04 mach motor swapped in my 04 GT vert. I have pullies, intake, full exhaust, and 4.30's. Moves pretty good for a vert :dancenana: ..So far this past friday i ran a 12.71 at 108mph with some 315 toyo proxes street radials that dont hook well at all at the track but still managed a 1.87 60ft. It probably would have been closer to a high 12.60 since when i powershifted to 4th the dang car bogged. Ran a 8.1 at 86mph in the 1/8. It was lower 70 degree weather. It trapped mid to high 108's all night and trapped 109 a few times. I think its doing pretty good

4.56s i've had all the gear and when i put the 56s in the car et 12.60 at 112 on street tires. Not M/T drag nor nittos street tires BF KDs 275/40 with a 60ft of 1.86 skuffing. And yes i my car does have the driver mod lol. Anyway that setup was JLT CAI,Ported orange blast intake,BBK Lts and 4.56s. The car ran like a beast but i never got to use my drag wheel setup i know it wouldve be low low 12s maybe even high 11.The car literally snaked it's way through the quarter mile. As soon as second was dropped the skuff turned to spinning both at the bottom and top of gears.so yes 4.56s but be warned they are big boy gear and always make sure you have good tire and never get caught in the rain on DRs or it'll get ugly quick.

I had not changed anything yet on the combo, but 4.88's are to aggressive for a street car I am thinking. I would not want to blwo right through the power band and be spinning my tail end off, lol.

I am leaning towards the 4.56's I anything!

You won't run out of RPM with 4.56s. Also, 4.56s with the 315s will be fine as long as the tires are sticky. The rear control arms must be replced with some better pieces with either gear or tire.

4.56s/26" tire
Engine RPM: 7000
Vehicle Speed: 117.3

4.30s/26" tire
Engine RPM: 7000
Vehicle Speed: 124.4

4.56s and 315/35s
Engine RPM: 7000
Vehicle Speed: 117.3

4.30s and 315/35s
Engine RPM: 7000
Vehicle Speed: 124.4

I am on 17's and would run a 26" tall slick and have a T 56 tranny. With that been said, you think 4.56's plus 325rwhp/329rwtq would get the mach into the 11's? Only weight reduction I would consider is passenger seat out, and spare tire out.

You would probably have a better chance with a 3650. The gearing is too tall in the t56 i would say especially in first. i personally like the gearing in the 3650 but thats just my opinion
