This! Hey, that ZL1 is impressive, but that time slip didn't come cheap. Any car can be made to be quicker if you have a big bank account. Definitely not "minimal mods". Far from it! o_O

I installed heads/cam/LT headers & ORY on my LS1 car in my back yard with hand tools/jack stands. Doesn't take a rocket scientist. Single cam is much easier than 4 OHC's ;)

Incorrect Bill, new gen LTx is nothing like old LSx. Labor to swap a new LT1/LT4 cam is same if not more than modular.

Oh god, here comes "I could run faster in my foxbody with a 410 ci windsor with a 250 shot."

You're the one that considers a full bolton car with a cam swap minimal mods? With all that work done, still slower than a stock Demon.

What are you running OP?

Mouth.

I mean I think what Evolution Performance Did back in June 2012 running 9.95@142 with true basic bolt-ons on the 2013 GT500 was more impressive.

IIRC it was intake, pulley, TB, Full Exhaust, Gears, Race Gas, Tune.... Even on Stock Clutch...

Plus 6-speed manual...

I disagree. Even the steeda hardcore rear suspension package is about 8 bolts to do the entire rear. Upper control arm and mount, lower control arm and relocation brackets, shocks, springs, Panhard bar...

4.30 rear gears aren’t really that crazy in the 2013 GT500.

I have 3.73s and they are too low for serious racing. I’m at about 1700rpm at 80mph on the highway.

Back to the ZL1... that stage 3 package is $9500 by itself. No install and not including the cam...

As was previously said there is EASILY $20k in that car...

Shocker on the disagree. Would 4.56 be too much (I don`t know a higher Ford ratio)?

4.56 would only net you 132mph in 4th gear (1:1) with a 29" Tall Tire @7000rpm. So yes I'd say that's too much...

4.30 with the same conditions estimates at 140mph so with some slick growth on the big end I'd say that it was perfect for that setup...
