99 cobra/gt motor swap

i have a 99 cobra that has a hole in the block , i also have a 02 gt motor , i need to know if i can take the top end of the cobra motor and make it work with the bottom end of my gt motor, im trying to save money and just want to get the car running again. any help with what i need to take off the cobra engine to put on the gt would be greatly appriciated. thanks

i know it can be done, what i need to know is what all has to come off of the cobra motor to go on the gt motor. just so its clear the motor is going to be put back in my 99 cobra.

Obviously everything from the heads up will have to go on the GT shortblock. I believe you have to use the Cobra timing cover, you can use 2v head gaskets if you have an extra set also.

Which crank pulley (balancer or damper not quite sure) would he have to use. Aren't they balanced differently between a 2v and 4v?

they use the same crank pulley there are plugs in the shortblock and other timing componets that need to be changed out as well..
