Accufab throttle body clearance issue

just got a new throttle body put it on and it was binding when the sensor is mounted. found this. anyone had this happen? bad quality or 1 off? sent an email to get a replacement tonight. anyone recommend another brand?

I think the common reply is it’s not gonna be worth issues like this with the likely drivability issues to follow for like 5 hp so just send it back if they’ll let you

Didn't get it for hp, got that covered already. original tb worn out. yes, they will replace it. the question I have is there a better alternative.

It seems all TB made to work on the 99/01 manifolds have issues of some sort. That's one of the reasons most don't bother with replacing them.

JMO, if I had to go aftermarket I'd stick with Accufab.

I see you have a P1SC listed in your mods, but I'm only familiar with the single-blade throttle body Accufab issues on the 01 since I had to remove mine. Come to find out that the unit was never designed for boosted applications as it's not clearanced correctly for higher intake temps - causing it to stick (like yours). I went back to a stock TB - not worth the headaches. YMMV
