I just looked up comparisons of the 0W20 and compared it to Amsoil Signature 0W20 in an independant test. I will be going with Amazon Basics.

Lucky for me, the 1GR-FE Dual-VVT-i, in its current form, has been out since 2010 MY. And a lot of testing has been done with different oils. Overwhelming consensus is the stick with 0W20.

Psshh, this is the only oil you need:

SAE 15W-40 Heavy-Duty Diesel and Marine Oil

Almost time for an oil change on the SRT, I'll give it a try.

If you're going to buy it, please do it through this link (SVTP gets a tiny cut of the sale):

I like the idea of a SVTP multi-oil test.

Especially include the off brands like the stuff in the convenience store, dollar store, etc.

Shouldn't be hard to set up the various jigs

I used gas station brands in the past on stuff that was well and done (needed to be rebuilt) and it worked just the same as Castro.

Castrol is about the same price. I've been running their high mileage for the last 30k in my jeep with no issues.
