Well, I read the whole thread and still do not know what to use in my 99 Cobra T-45 and 13 Shelby T6060.
I live in the South. Would buy Amsoil for both, if I could get a definite product.
That's an ATF recommended use manual transmission, right?

Others have had this happen to them. No matter what lube they used after the whine began, it didn't go away from what I have read. More viscous lubricants will quiet noises, but at the expense of cool/cold performance.
Since I haven't seen it discussed here yet...
I have been seeing a lot of people trying a mixture of the Amsoil Synchromesh MTF and 75w-90 API GL-4 MTG in the MT82 trans. The mix is 2 qts of MTF and .7 qts of the gear oil. This combo was and is recommended by Ben Calimer from his experience with rebuilding the MT82. Everyone who has tried it says it is a big improvement.
I'm curious what Unleashed thinks about this mix, as so far all I've seen from Amsoil "experts" is "we do not recommend mixing fluids as we do not know what will happen"
I just bought the combo and am willing to get a sample after a certain amount of time to check on the results.
Any updates about a month later?
So put .7 MTG, and top off with the MTF? Or run straight MTF? It’s 20-50 degrees here this time of year.No.... 2 qts MTF & .7 MTG (this)
Hmmm many choices! So, just the redline DCTF? No additives?Sounds like coosawjack had the ticket:
I have Redline DCTF in it now and it's even better with no whine and little or no notchiness when cold!!
