Those in LNC know the story, but I got another dog.

Basically I found this little dude running around 17 miles outside of town in the middle of nowhere in the oil fields. Hes lucky he didn't get hit by a large truck He ran under my truck. So I brought him home.

Took him to the vet the next day to see if he had a chip. He did. Pet Link got in touch with the owner who said.. Long story short " We had a new baby. So want the dog?" There was a lot more but no need to go into further detail

According to the owner.. He's a Rottweiler, Chihuahua mix, and is 6 months old. Ive decided to name the little ****er Whiskey.

Heres when I found him

I'm still weirded out that this mix happened. At 6 months old. I guess he will grow.. but probably I guess way more stocky than tall. He's definitely smaller than my 35 pound hound mix.

He seems like a good pup so far, no accidents in the house since Sunday at 9am.

Cool dog.
So,....they had a baby and dropped the dog out in the ****ing oil fields?!?! ****ing scumbags if that is the case.
Good on you man for taking him in.

Accoding to the wife.

" He's too over protective of the baby. " He's a ****ing 10 pound dog...

Dont get me wrong.. he's protective. He already is of me.. He was on my lap at the vet, vet walked up to me and he growled. I popped him once in the mouth, and no more growling.

I think they just didn't want it now that the baby came

He seems good so far. Definitely already attached. He sits right next to me on the couch now.

Him and my other pup are getting along, just gotta keep yelling at her cause she gets a little rough with him.

Someone dumps a dog like that, and I felt like a piece of trash when my 11 year old dog ran off on me when we were all outside. He decided to come back an hour later......... I think he was sniffing up on some lady dogs. He isn't fixed.

I don't understand people. Give the dog to a good home for free. Don't dump them like they are your trash.

Glad you took the dog in and are giving him a new family.

That’s ****ed up and just solidifies my position that I care more for animals these days.....as for most people....well not so much.

Like I said in LNC

Dogs > People

So did the husband ever call you back and confirm what the wife said, that they no longer wanted the dog?

You're a good man for taking him in. I wish people were more responsible with their pet choices. It's not their fault.

Nope I called him and texted him. No response what so ever

Wow some people are just ignorant.
Love the new pup! You are a good man for saving his life and giving him a home.
