I don't get it . What's weird about it except for the typo at the bottom (I think it's a typo)? The guy has 100% positive feedback too.

Well if you think he's not a scammer than $2600 seems to be a good deal. Put your money up first and let me know how its turns out. Ha

This looks bogus. I talked to eBay about another auction like this a few weeks ago. Here's what happens. Scum all over the world send bogus emails to eBay members soliciting their security info, and plenty of people who don't think that it is a scam go ahead and send their user ID and password. So looking at this seller's selling history it appears that this is the first big item sale, so it could be another case where the member's ID has been stolen and the auction is a scam. Interesting, too, that if you click on any portion of the page you get a popup window that says you have to first get preapproval by emailing the seller. I've never seen that before and I've been a regular on eBay for over 5 years. Anyone else get this? I sent the actual owner of the ID an email asking if he is selling this car. Let's see if he responds.

Yep! I knew it! I can't wait to hear from the real seller. I'm betting he will be totally shocked to hear that he was selling a car.

By coincedence I just received this email about 15 minutes ago. Another scammer scouring the world for those who don't secure their personal data. Here's an unformatted copy of the email I received. I wonder how many will actually respond by giving these people their account name and password.

Scammers are all over the place. It is very easy to spot one. 1) The cars are priced ridiculously low 99% of the time. 2) The call the phone number they have listed (if one is listed at all). Many a times, the number is a fax number...and get the buzzing, signing on fax noise. Also, look at the area code listed vs. the listed location. Often, they in states that are 1000 miles apart.

Here is an example of a car on the Autotrader I saw and e-mailed about, around two weeks ago. This is a direct copy & paste of my reply, which also contains the original reply from the scammer.

I get those all the time. I got one from EBAY or a place like it yesterday.
I actually get a half dozen or so a week. One of the key tip-offs is the grammer and spelling because most of these are generated from Nigeria and other foreign countries. Some of the spelling/grammer is really comical. :nonono: :lol1: :nonono:

I wrote ebay about this guy last week. He's been tryingto sell late 60's mustangs fo rthe buy it now price around $6k. Most of the time his listings dont work properly. If you run across these listings write ebay asap! I've caught 4 in the last week or so. He's all over the place. When in doubt write ebay!

I got screwed last week by a really good scam...thing was that I caught it immediately and turned it around on the scammers by getting my bank involved...who got the FBI involved moments later. Apparently scammers are now able to send you emails directly to your Ebay account when you log in.
