Very nice. Congrats!

Now, one comments:

Why run the POS aluminum dampener and risk ruinining a very nice motor? Why not just run the stock one or spend the cash on an IW or ATI unit.

Again, congrats and nice work!

what's wrong w/ that one? How would it ruin the motor?

Thanks for the comments guys. Can't wait to get this thing tuned!

I did not say that it will ruin, I said it may.

Harmonics. They incresae with RPM and power levels. The low inertia of the aluminum damper (which actually looks like an oversized pulley) may not be enough to control them.

If you notice the trent, the 96 Cobra has the lightest dampers, while the 99-01 has a heavier one, the Mach 1 has an even heavier and the automatic Machs have the heaviest of them all.

A high performance/quality damper will maintain weight, while reducing unwanted harmonics at all RPM ranges.

This harmonics kills oil pump gears, timing wheels, and main bearings.

Get an ATI damper, the best $450.00 bucks you ever spend.
