Sugar mixed with Iodine does the job too...but most people don't have that lying around.

We used that and it actually brought more in. The problem got WAY worse after we started using it. There were ants EVERYWHERE, it was disgusting. The only thing that worked for us was having the exterminator come. We actually had to have them come and spray twice because the first time didn't do it.
