Been somewhat interested in trying out some. Some nights I feel like just having something to sip on and not mixing drinks. Any suggestions for something that won't break the bank? Don't wanna spend big bucks on something that ends up tasting like gasoline lol

Buffalo Trace is one of my favorites, and I think it's only $24/bottle at Costco.

Tincup is another.

4 Roses small batch.

Knob Creek single barrel.

no Costco around me (damnit I wish we had one)

I've seen the 4 roses tossed around quite a bit as a good beginner bottle. May see if I can find that

4 Roses is good, not expensive. Whiskey, like wine, has so many flavor profiles. If you have a good whiskey bar near you try different drams and see what you like.

Of all the whiskies I have tried though, my favorite is..........

Whatever is in the glass at the moment.

I am part of a whiskey group and we sample 5 a month. After 5 years, there are lots of different whiskey I have tried!

not at my post...
Angles Envy, tad on spendy side, but worth it.
Larceny, just tried this new years eve, right around 23 bucks, not bad for the price.
TX whiskey is also pretty good, think its around 30ish a bottle

anyways those are my current favorites..

Ditto vote on Buffalo Trace- excellent bourbon for its price.

Might I also suggest Defiant American Whisky. Comes out of the mountains of NC- simply awesome stuff- my favorite adult beverage, very reasonably priced but not widely available. Small company, only produces about 800 bottles a month. You may need to ask your local vendor to bring some in.

My neighbor just gave me some Bib and Tucker. Pretty good, but I'm not a big Bourbon guy, it was smooth though with a ton of flavor.

Buffalo is great bang for the buck. Big fan of Makers as well. If you want to get fancy look for some nice small batches.

Something on the upper end of your range you have to try is Single Barrel Jack Daniels.
