SoCo Caramel is pretty dang good. Closest thing I've found to the Davy Crockett (now Ole Smoky) Caramel whiskey in Gatlinburg TN.

not at my post...
Tried something new this weekend, Whitmeyers Texas Whiskey, it was pretty good. My brother knows these guys, has done some legal work for them and recommended trying a bottle. A buddy and I polished it off Sunday while watching the games.

I've been buying Bulleit Rye for a while, which is good stuff. Lately, I've been using it to make Old Fashioneds.

Good budget bottle is Old Overholt. About $15. I use it to make old fashioneds typically as it has some bite. I think Blanton's is very good but pricey. Usually end up getting Woodford Reserve instead.
