Im due up for back surgery soon and just found out they'll be putting me on limdu in the next week or so. Not really sure what to think.

Dont worry about it, you will hopefuly recover from the surgery soon enough it is just a one-time deal.

Each limdu is a 6 month stint, after the 3rd one is issued they begin the Physical Evaluation Board. You can go through the board and either be fit for duty, unfit for duty, or permanent limdu. My guess is you wont be on limdu long enough to go through all of that.

My experience is from the Marine Corps, so it should be similiar to the Navy side of things.

Limdu is nothing man. they will send you to a command where you can have light duty orders. (if it's for a long period of time) As soon as you recover you get fit for full orders. Done deal. Don't sweat it!
