You have a valid point but GM doesn't need 32 valves and 4 cams when they have head flow that Ford could only dream of.
When talking NA performance, velocity trumps flow, which is what makes four valve heads superior by design. Higher velocity than a 2v into and out of the chamber. There are plenty of 260/190 cfm heads that have spanked 290/210cfm heads.
Referenced Lingenfelter's site for the data, looks like LT1 heads are ~320/200cfm @ .600" max lift on a 4.065" bore. JPCs for stock coyote head flow on 3.63" bore, ~300/200cfm @ .600" and 290/200cfm @ .500". Voodoos are ~320/220cfm stock. Throw either on a 4" bore and peak numbers between Ford and chevy heads would be hard to tell apart.
In either case that's more than enough head to get the job done with much higher velocity than the GM head despite the smaller bore.
Hopefully the rumors are true and there is a 500hp+ NA 6.2L 4V variant of the mid engined Vette.
