Yeah, that was a great motor and pretty much bulletproof. The current 3.6 Pentastar isn’t bad either, but I’d likely add a power adder. I’m a little hesitant on the 2.0 turbo motor, but it got decent reviews.I like the looks of the 2-door, but I can't justify the price. I miss the 4.0 I-6.

I've worked at a CDJR Dealership in new vehicle sales for 7 years now.. The price jump is about $3,000 from the JK to JL. While Jeep is EXTREMELY proud of these things, it is justifiable if you are shown everything they changed. This thing is light years ahead of the JK. We just finished training as I'm typing this haha

My folks just bought a 2018 to tow behind their motorhome. It’s fully loaded and is a nice as some cadillacs now.
I think they are kinda transitioning from off-road vehicle to the a family vehicle, much like trucks have.
I think they are leaving a big hole in the market for a simple bare-bones truck.
