Anyone interested in Carbon Fiber hoods?

Kevin, it would look almost identical to that with a nicer weave and a better UV clear coat. The clear on yours doesn't look too deep at all. Hence the discoloration & lack of depth.

Carbon fiber hoods are not bang for the buck items. Infact, alot of times, the buyers get them as conversational pieces or items for their showcars. For the diehard racer looking to shave every last ounce off the car these are the ticket, but I concur with some of the responses above...they're not for everyone.

I saw a carbon fiber hood on a Mustang last summer. I honestly didn't like the look at all. It just didn't fit the car (I mean design wise, not physical fit wise). Most would probably prefer a lightweight hood primered rather than a carbon fiber piece. I could be wrong, though.
