I had a tire size thread awhile back where a guy posted a picture of his car and I think it was 315/30/20 profile. Might look through my threads for that pic, it was a small profile for sure but if you had the right lowering springs it looked ok.

Haha I just went back to my thread and noticed you were the one posting the pic of the 305/30/20.

You don't like that size anymore?

I personally hate the tall tire that everyone rocks just ruins nice looking wheels to me. All these guys running 28.5" tall tires is the same as my pick up truck just silly in my eyes I like my 305/30/20 now due to there rolling height but I just order a set of custom wheels and I'm going wider So I really want to go up in width best choice in size is a 315/25/20 but im so damn limited on tires

I run 37" tires soon to be 40's on my Jeep so 28.5 doesn't seem so bad.... Also I measured my 305/35/20 nt555r's and they are actually only 28". Nitto runs small.

Anyway how wide of a wheel did you get? Mine are 11" wide and the 305 seems to fit nicely with no bulge. May be able to get the 315 in there but as it is I already had to remove my inner sound deadener lining.

325/25/20 is only 26.3" tall tire (i.e. the same as a 305/30/19). That seems like a very short tire for our cars. Not sure what tire you currently run, but I am running PSS 305/30/20 and it looks absolutely perfect to my mind (27.2" tall). More importantly, it is a superb tire on the street - loads of grip in terms of forward bite and, more importantly to me, also in cornering (running 285/30/20 PSS in front). Better than the 285/35/19 RE11s I was running and also with better steering feedback, too.

well update for those that are interested. my current wheel and tiers are 20x9.5 and 20x11 with pirelli Corsa system 275/30/20 front and 305/30/20 rears
my new setup will be 20x10 fronts and 20x11.5 rears and looks like im going to stick with my current tire seup but think im going to try out either pilot sport cup 2's or the bridgstone re070
and run about the same width but go back to a 265/35/20 front and 305/30/20 rear.
Wont have the wheels for another 3-4 weeks but will post pics once finished and mounted.
thanks

Hey Kboss, what size rims in front and back? Got any pics?

I wanted to run something wider than the standard 255 in front on an 8.5" rim, maybe running 20x10 at all 4 corners.

101blur - Sounds like you have a great setup currently and am interested to see what you change to. Sport Cup 2s would be fantastic. Unless it's been updated, the RE070 is an old tire design (over 10 years I think - came OE on the 2004 STI if I recall correctly).

fiveohmike - I am running 20x10.5 ET45 at all 4 corners (3mm H&R spacer up front to clear the Brembos). I can't post pics but if you PM me your email address, I can send you one.

I do like the corsa system tires but I feel in street driving they dont show there performance that well its only once heated that they really work. maybe Im just asking to much from my tires lol.
I have only heard good things about the bridgestones but yes it is a older design they newer cup sport 2's look nice and are very pricey, but worried about there street behavior as I know sport cups are notorious for having bad grip when not heated we shall see

Hey 101blur - I liked the OE Corsas on my '13 Laguna. I have also run RE11s which were good in all conditions, but the PSS has been by far my favorite so far. Apples to oranges, though, because I am running big PSS sizes (285 and 305/30/20) so maybe that is some of the difference. I was very reluctant to try the PSS because of some internet jockeys complaining about soft sidewalls and squishy turn-in, but I feel like these are the most responsive tires I've run yet. Excellent grip, great steering feel and feedback, and feel like the perfect tire for my car (I am running KW V3s). I am no trackday guy - just an old school backroad sportbike and fast car junkie who loves corners - so take my comments for what they are.
