I picked up a used set of R1's at a really good price locally and was curious was peoples opinions of it were. The set I got had blown shocks in the front, that I had rebuilt by Eibach in Corona and so far they feel alright. I'm curious how these things hold up long term and how you adjust them for spirited driving.

I’ve had them for about 8 months and love them so far. I daily it, but haven’t taken the car down any twisties yet, but it definitely hunkers down pretty well.

I'm running R1's. changed out the spring rates to 300 in the front and 250 in the rear. Have the front set in the middle and the back set to second from softest. Pretty decent ride. If you set all 4 to all soft, rides like a Mercedes. Super impressed.

A friend of mine road courses his car on the R2 set. Car is on rails and he loves it. The R1 should be pretty similar in performance.
