I'm over in Dallas, right by Salem. Running into more and more Oregon folks online lately, seems like.

Depends on a lot. Want to be tired and cold in the swamp or in the water?

haha......

we have the opportunity as MPs to go to" ranger school"....but it doesn't even mean anything if we get certified. unless we deploy and get to a ranger unit.......its just a tab.

im just going to finish my degree and decide in a year or so. God knows i am training now tho.

i recomend...

you should take the shortest enlistment possible, for inf, armor, art, usually 2 yrs,.. so if if want to do something else after you see what it's like for 2 years, you can reclass (change jobs) when your reup window is open, when your up for reup (reenlistment) is the only time you have the power, so you want it to come up as soon and often as possible.

It is good to go for a combat arms MOS first anyways, makes a good rounded soldier later in other units.

On another point the: 'this mos is **** that mos is **** this branch is **** that branch is ***** is really immature, and disrespectful of others chosen profession we all play our part, and all MOS and branches are needed and some people LIKE other MOS that you may not like depends on personality type.

i know lots guys infantry hated office work, and loved rucking and humping in the field all the time, not for me, but they loved it, lol

when i loved the ARMY or hated it was just 1 supervisor away,... seriously 1 supervisor change is literally the difference between heaven and hell in the ARMY

My MOS 54B/74D Chemical Operations Specialist
Chemical Corps Regiment

nice MOS for 50/50 office/field, and transfer skills to hazmat after exit, min 3 year enlistment, good bonus, and fast promotion to e6

any questions just mail or PM me
ernie
