Today I polished the factory idlers took about 5mins per pulley here is a before and after. Used the same process 80, 220,400,800,1000 grit sandpaper and meguries alum. polish.

That depends on how long it takes him to swap your pulley onto his own car so that he can run the engine while polishing.
I would coat it with some clear. If it gets wet or moisture on it, its going to rust.
Dave, will the clear coating wear off on the contact surface and then rust anyway? Personally I would just go with a nice set of aftermarket billet idlers.
