Backlash in drivetrain

    Not really, it was when letting off the gas peddle and then back on again was where the excess play and clunking was.

    The front bolts would be the ones circled in Yellow. They are the ones that you went to 9/16 ? Jack

    Nah... The yellow ones are the front differential bushings. The Front subframe bushing location (Blue) is where the upgraded 9/16" bolts go.

    Sounds like loose ring gear bolts to me

    The front differential mounts.

    These won't last long ,

    Poly mounts are what most of us used.

    Oem is very expensive and not worth it if they don't last.

    Front sub frame as mentioned is really a 3/8 bolt in a 9/16 hole

    If original it will have 15mm /18 mm
    Head and nut. For wrench

    7/8-22 mm. Head and nut they have been changed

    Clunk is common along with cover leaking

    Those would be it. Or you could go to Home Depot and get grade 8 hardware for a lower price. Or any place that carries fasteners really.
