Who leaves that much booty in a warehouse at an airport unattended?
This happens a lot more than you could ever imagine.
If that's true then I predict an increase in this type of crime. I'm aware that vast sums of currency and valuables are transported by air but did not know it was left unguarded/unprotected.

There's a special on Netflix (3 separate true stories). One of them is a story just like this one. I think it may be called "Heist"
And just think, you got TSA guarding them. LOL
TSA at Hartsfield Jackson is a joke.
The Atlanta airport is beyond ridiculously large. It's like a city.
That was the first thing to come to my mind. It's been my favorite movie since the day I first saw it.
The infamous Lufthanasa heist. None of the loot ever recovered.
Organized crime, with help on the inside.
20M is literally a few pennies when compared to what our fed and .gov is doing regarding stealing and impoverishing current and future generations. In today's crazy world, I almost want these people to get away with it.
