Came today- look great. Doug, can you clarify where "on the edge" you use the tape? I applied it to rim of the vent to cushion on the hood, and it made the screws seem too short.

Doug, I took my vents off a while back when I had my front end repainted, I started looking at them and they looked purple (I have the black anodized vents). I turned them over and looked at the bottom and it still looked good there. Should the sun fade the black anodize that quickly?

I am sure that Doug can talk to the anodizer, and if there is something wrong with the coating it will be remedied. I don't think that they should turn purple in this short amount of time.

sounds like you used it right.... I think its easier if 2 people do the install... press the vent and the clamp togather and start the screw.

Thats not cool at all...if you send them back to me I can take them to the anodizer and ask him whats up and have them redone for you free.
