so I'm paying a custom graphics guy $150-175 to put some stripes on my car.

I'm thinking black stripes on my silver cobra... starting in the hood scoops then back up to the windshield then parallel across the hood then down the trunk and back end.

what do you guys think?

I can also choose to just go straight normal stripes but I've seen them on other stangs and those look weird through the vents.

I think Ford blue GT-500 style stripes would look cool. I've got a silver one too but it would be a bit too flashy for me. (personal preference).

still subscribing in hopes of someone posting some photoshops of what they will look like.... (perhaps we could get a little photoshop request thread if someone knows how to use photoshop.. I have photoshop, but don't really know how to use it well yet... nothing that advanced anyway...

How about black convertible with gold stripes (not shiny gold, but like the old GT350H's) starting from the hood vents back. The car has parchment top and seat inserts.

What do you think?

For what it's worth: I'm a professional free-hand pinstriper, and my dark shadow-grey '03 has no pinstripes.

My dad had a 70 SS chevelle 454 ls6 as a family car when I was growing up

It was silver w/ black strips

It still has a special place in my heart. I now have a silver cobra, but I don't think I will add any strips to it, because I prefer the clean look these days

But if your going for a more agreesive performance look, that will be a great combo

I would have to say leave it without the stripes. It seems like everyone is running racing stripes on every kind of car. IMHO I think they are over done. Just my .02
