The Black and Blue test mule that tested along side "Red" at the Ring was spied on a car hauler a few days ago. It was speculated that it may be on its way to Nurburgring again. It is highly unlikely that Ford would send another '12 bodied GT500 to the Ring to record times though. This Black and Blue car was sent back to Michigan in the early fall of last year. There are still two '13 mules unaccounted for that was used in Germany, they could still be in place or, one could still be in Italy. There is no reason to run a timed run and publish the times in a '12 bodied car.... Possible Ford Nürburgring GT500 test mule spied

As of 8 February 2012, the German Government terminated the Nurburgring lease to the private organization Nurburgring Automotive. At this point, track days have been suspended and only Tourist days are allowed. This means no timed runs by clubs, private companies or the automotive industry... Nurburgring Automotive is currently challenging the breach of contract and legal proceedings could take up to a year. Nurburgring is currently $350 million euro in debt (about $400 million USD).

maybe all the automakers that like to use it should buy into it and share the cost

Nurgurgring Automotive basically ran the track, facilities and local businesses into the ground. F1 was looking into helping but they only want Strecke, not the whole Nordschleife, it was rumored that F1 completely pulled the 2012 race from Nurburgring all together and chose Hockenheimring for the race. VLN and the German Grand Prix is also rumored to have pulled their events.

If anyone ever gets the chance to go to Nurburgring, you must visit Hotel Tiergarten... There is a lot of automotive/race history there.. Kinda like a Hard Rock Cafe but only with race car drivers...

Isn't it rather cold and snowy there now?
Yes, it is snowed in....
