I see a lot of auto's being supercharged and they all seem fine. However, I have a MT82 and I'm wondering if adding a blower would be asking for trouble. My transmission is trouble free right now.

For those of you with manuals and a blower, can you comment on how your trans is holding up? Did you also upgrade your clutch and what is your power level?

4,100 miles on the car (around 1,600 with the blower)
Upgraded the clutch to a Mcleod RST twin-disc with an aluminum flywheel
Procharger P1SC with 7.5 pounds of boost making 551 RWHP & 450 RWTQ (STD)

I haven't had any problems with the trans since the clutch upgrade. My car was one that had the 'clutch pedal sticks to the floor at high RPM's' problem with the stock clutch.

I know of one with an F1 that made in excess of 750 on the dyno, putting down 600 to 650 on the street, beats the heck out of it, and his clutch and tranny are holding up fine (so far).

On our white 2011 5.0 with the Procharger D-1SC making 780 rear wheel horsepower we still have the factory sealed MT-82 transmission and it's holding up through all the abuse. Daily Driven, Dyno Runs, Track Runs...etc...

No slippage I take it? Darn now it looks like I may have to get supercharger. The whole new clutch thing was making me shy away.

How many spline is the MT-82? Is it 26?

weird but 23 spline.... surprised you guys are doing so well on stock. 100 shot for about 2 weeks ate my stocker, 150-200 shots got my ram twin after 3k. 9400 miles and on my 3rd clutch, a mcleod rxt. hope this on holds up only 70 miles on it now.

2500 miles 10 psi, 700+ rwhp, stock clutch died on first launch with slicks, McLeod RXT billet steel flywheel. The manual is actually a real pleasure to drive.

Agreed. I love my manual. Couldnt ever do the auto thing. I'm a big fan of pushing the stock clutch. I just have a hard time justifying 1200+ dollars for a clutch.

no slipping at all. there is another local guy running the same KB on his 5.0 and he has over 6K with the blower and almost 20K on the car and it is still holding strong
