Boost mod and a miss?

A vendor (can't remember which one - I am old) posted a
modified boost mod were you just swap the vac lines from
the solinoid and the actuator around. We just tried this on
a friends O3 and he picked up a pretty bad miss at WOT.
We switched it back and it went away - never tossed a code
or a MIL though.

I have the Lightning type boost mod on mine and it works well.

if you are referring to the boost bypass mod, all you have to do is disconnect the plug on the bypass.

I switched my over about 3-4 weeks ago and have not had a single problem...

I did the switch of the lines and the car would sputter and rumble like it was going to die during a downshift from 6th to 4th on the interstate. I pulled over and switched them back and it went away. I may have just not has everything tight and had a small vaccum leak though.
