Boss 302 12 to 13 HID headlight conversion is complete

    OK finally have finished the conversion to HID headlights on my 12 Boss. I will try to post some pictures and explain the process but the key of course is to find a decent price on a set of 2013 HID headlight which is not easy. I found mine on ebay for a much lower price than I could buy from Ford. I bid on them and won. I was very fortunate that they where like new. To continue I started my research on how all the wiring was going to happen. I read several different threads from several different web sites to try to educate myself. The wiring was different for sure since the headlight had the H13 bulb and now I have an HID headlight with a DS3 HID bulb. First let me tell you that Ford was zero help. I couldn't buy the headlight connector or any 3 pin connectors for the parking/turn signal bulb. This process of calling, reading and trying to find a resolution to issue finally landed me with Joseph (tuxedoblack11) who was already making a wiring harness for the F150 trucks. Without his help and expertise I would have never been able to accomplish this switch out. If you need to convert your 2010-2012 Mustang to HID headlight he can either provide you with all the wiring necessary or even help with finding a decent priced set of headlights (if available) So we worked for weeks finding the correct connectors to work with the 13 Headlight and the end result is a easy to wire and install 13 headlight using his harness that he has developed in the last two months. So....if you need help with parts or have questions PM myself or tuxedoblack11 he is the expert.

    Seems like both of you did a great job. Since yours is non hid to HID, hows the conversion from 2012 HID to 2013 HID?

    All you'll need from me is the new 16 pin plugs and ill include a diagram on how to remove your old 4-pin hid plug. Then re-pin the 16 pin with your original 4 pins, plus the two additional pins for the LEDs. Sounds complicated but is very very simple, Pm me for any more info!

    Looks great. I'm so glad I was able to steal a set of '13 headlights. Ordering the harness tonight. Can't wait to do this!! :D

    For comparisons sake if I found some used, how much do the headlights cost new from Ford again?
    Tuxedo, were you ever able to work out a lower price for a pair?

    Great work guys. Looks killer.

    Tousley sells them for $936 ea. I believe. Check out seller: "Allstarautolightsnorth" on ebay.. I was going to grab a set used from them if I didn't come across the ones I was able to get for less. Message them if you don't see any listed and they will throw a set up for you.

    Now that the plug and play conversion harness is available, I'd imagine you will see quite a few people doing this.
