i recently removed the MC and the brake booster from the firewall but did not take any lines loose to pull my valve covers off. I did separate the MC and brake booster thinking i could get it off without pulling the booster from the firewall. After putting it back together the pedal is very hard and feels like i am pushing on a spring. I hear a click and can feel it in my foot also. If i hold down on the pedal it drags the motor down. Only thing i notice i did different was i had to spin the rod over on the part under the dash to get it to go on the pedal shaft. I couldn't get it on without spinning it over. Any idea what is going on or i should look for?

thanks i will give it a shot this weekend when im back around the car. I did not know about resetting the brake switch. I will search for the procedure!
