That's basically what I told them. Only so many ways to make a new version of the same retro 4x4 formula.

That is what you have the Raptor for...

True however Jeep sells more four door Wranglers than two doors. It has been this way for a few years now so to be competitive they need a four door. I can’t wait to see them. That said I could give two shits about the sport but I’m sure it will sell. Surprised they didn’t call it the Bronco II.

Majority of Jeeps (like the Raptor, not talking shit) are mall crawlers. I'm not knocking the need for a four door because it will be the same thing with the Bronco. However, the 2-door would be the one I would buy.

True. Well, whatever door config the Bronco Raptor comes in, that'll be the one I'll get.

Bastards better make one.
I hope they don't call it that. But I can't wait to see what the "performance" version is.

That has worried me for years. I fear that one day the 2-door will go the way of manual transmissions.

The Sport will be decent (segment leading performance) for what it is.

I agree. Hope it's gets a unique name, but typing Raptor was easier than saying I want a stock bronco that has a respectable amount of travel and can handles jumps and whoops.

Two issues.

1. More than likely, I'm going to want to get the wife one of these in 4 door.
2. I won't want to pay what they're going to ask for them new.

My guess is that you'll be lucky be at $37K for a 4x4 4-Door "comfortably" optioned. Pushing 55k for a big boy.

Oddly enough, I've also toyed the idea of a Mach-E (she likes them too)... $50,000+. So, I can use the cost savings for my business case to push the Bronco???

I have a feeling that used market on these a few years out may still be pretty hot like the Jeep and you won't see awful depreciation. Makes the used vs. new decision harder.

We'll see where it all shakes out in a few years. I think I've accepted the decision to let her '10 Edge litterally break before getting rid of it ($4k trade IF I'm lucky). 177,000 miles and it just keeps chugging. Front rotor/brakes, two sets of tires and oil is literally all we've put into it.

She is WFH (prior, during, post to C19) so it's hard to justify an expensive vehicle for her use. I'm WFH (during and likely post C19), so I already have the 500 and a 15 F150 that sit quite a bit. I'd rather not have $100k worth of cars that primarily sit in a garage.

I would be more into the trails/technical stuff where the Raptor is not so enjoyable. At TRR there is a very rocky technical area and it sucked frankly. Bashing the skid plates and worrying about ****ing up the rear just made it suck. Now in a short wheelbase Bronco, it would have been fun.

That's what TJ/XJs are for.

If it's an IFS car it will likely ride better than a Wrangler and still be able to hit the beach and do light trails with ease which is where most Wranglers go anyway.
