Building motor need advice

3 grand isn't shit brother . To build a motor and do it right you are talking 6-10 grand. What are your current mods? What HP are you trying to achieve? What is your quarter mile goal? Is this a DD or are you going full race? These are things we need to know ....get a plan, make a goal, THEN start buying stuff

So that's still a bad budget even getting boss 302 internals ? I would of assumed boss 302 would be easier to come by and cheaper ? I have a local buddy that owns a machine shop doing it so labors not included lol

Well, having a buddy who owns a machine shop helps a lot. While you are in there, you will want to do oil pump gears and boss 302 timing parts. If you are able to pull this work off, you should report back to the thread with your list of parts and how you saved money on your build. It'll be interesting to see your before and after assumptions on your build. But from all of my work, it's the little things that pushed my stuff well over my assumed initial spend.
