Burnt smell...

My car is a twin turbo so I know it can run hotter than normal. Well, I was sitting in the shade with the AC on and noticed the temps getting in the 210º. So I started driving back to work. When I noticed a electric burn smell, and then saw the temps at 238º. Ive never seen that high before. Popped the hood and could smell a burnt smell on the pass side. Im inside my office now and will check it out later but I hope I didn't fug anything up. :bash:

Yep...money for me is on the fan as mine did the same thing a few months back...

Maybe your fan burned out and that is why it overheated and smelled.

If it's the fan, I'll get the Mark 8 fan since my turbos sit RIGHT next to it.

The fan would be a high probability.

Ya it was the fan. Popped the hood and started the car, the fan was jumping all around. Time to look for a Mark 8 fan...
