Not to take sides with GM but let's not forget the lame sound out of a stock Cobra. The GT sounds better.

As far as the vett goes it looks much better in person. I was impressed when I seen it at the Detroit Auto Show. I think it's a good move for GM especially the HP. My cousin is an engineer and tests cars for GM and he told me that the Z06 model will be 500 HP. We will see.

The car is not developed for teenagers. Typical Vette buyers are 40+ old and aren't interested in waking up the neighbors with a loud exhaust

The GT sounds better then a Cobra stock. Now you know why.

its a stock car..How many stock cars have good sounding exhaust. As said before the corvette's market is older people who do a lot of cruising and not strickly racing and want a quite exhaust.
400 hp from the factory is impressive and possible 500 with the Z06/C6.
When the guys start modding them.. you cobra guys will have a lot more to deal with than the C5's and Z06's on the road now.
