From Road & Track: 2013 Cadillac ATS Pictures and Specs - Cadillac ATS at 2012 Detroit Auto Show ? RoadandTrack.com

2.0t with 270HP or 3.6 DI V6 with 318HP
RWD w/ LSD
Tremec 6 speed manual
Brembo brakes
under 3400lbs
near 50/50 weight front to rear.
I think Cadillac knocked this one out of the park. They are leaving the FWD segment and targeting the BMW 3 series, Merc C class and Lexus IS.

The next 'maro is rumored to be on this platform, which should bode well for the weight problem it has.

Lincoln is not even trying

You spoke to soon... the new MKZ. This is concept form, but they said it's very close to production form.

It's still a FWD based platform. It will not be competition for the ATS, or any other cars in the category. Lincoln will have to do better than a rebadged fusion.

Yea for a car that will prob cost in the upper $90k range. What the CTS-V are around $68,000+.

$90K????

True, it certainly doesn't look like it will be a performance killer, but if they can keep that car much the same when it hits production then it should be a popular car still. It doesn't even look the same size as the ATS.

Car starts at 35k. It's a little smaller than the CTS line but much lighter at 3400lbs. There will be a V version of this car, currently the 3.6TT motor is rumored and always the possibility of a LS3. Either way it will be cheaper in price than the CTS-V2, so no not 90k.

This car is amazing...AWD is an option too.

I just an article on this in Motor Trend. This car is targeted for the A6, 5 series, E-Class level. What I am excited for is the big boy Caddy that is going to run with the 28, 7 series, S-Class. That car is going to be badass. I wish they would hurry the hell up for the big one, my dad has been waiting on them to come out.

The ATS will compete with the 3 series and such, not the 5. Also, don't expect the XTS to have a 500+ hp motor. I think they are planning a TT V6 for it. They aren't quite ready to tackle the $100k competition yet.

The MKS and CTS are in the same size category.

Available 4 cylinder ECOBOOST and an 8speed transmission!

It looks like a tank in comparison though, hard to say it's competition for the ATS.
