Hey guys! Matt's friend with the roll cage here!
Roll cage is from maximum motorsports.

There is virtually no way to hit your head on the bar, unless MAYBE the car flipped and you hit it on the overhead bar which that runs behind the front seats. The bar that goes across you'd attach the harnesses to, sits on the upper back of the front seats so even if you didn't have the headrests in, your head shouldn't hit the bar.

I was in a wreck with that roll cage in my exes gt and I feel like it would have been worse without the cage. Driving 80mph on a sunny day and hit a downpour from nowhere. Hydroplane and hit passenger rear side on a jersey wall. No injuries except a little sore from the impact.

There's a constant confusion between roll cage and roll bar when this topic comes about. Even in this very thread even tho the difference has been explained. You can have a roll bar and drive on the streets. A roll cage on the street would probably do some serious damage to you especially your head if it rang off the bars. I have a 6 point roll BAR(lol) from MM with swing out doors. I only have the doors in when at the track. Street driving the door bars are always out but you could street drive with them. The bars anywhere close to your body should have roll bar padding on them. MM is a very niece piece and fits perfect. I would highly recommend it. I never use the back seat anymore. I won't even put my dog back there now.

Correct. The door bar crosses your side between your elbow and shoulder. You would have to fold in half to hit that bar with your head.

MM 6 pt is an awesome roll bar. Fits great and is a very sturdy piece. Here's mine I posted in the other thread too.

MM bolt in 6pt with swing out door bars. I tacked the bars in place and my buddy finish welded it for me. I then painted it a satin black. Came out badass. I love the fit and finish of the MM 6 pt.

The second to last pic is shown with the passenger seat all the way back for reference.

As the other guy said, you guys are posting pics of roll bars not cages. I am saying do not cage the car( anything with a halo bar and a bar that goes down the a-pillar) if you are street driving the car. And just a side note, "bolt in" bars are junk unless you weld it in, don't waste your time.

A cage tight the ceiling and a harness would remove almost all threat unless you are tall. Also, a padded bar isn't anymore deadly than smashing your head into the door frame/window.
