Can anyone reccomend a battery tender?

I guess you can always disconnect the battery cables to the car and still use the battery tender even if lightening strikes. Then only the battery will be fried!

This is true and would work just fine.

However, to each his own. So each time you wanted to drive the car you hook the battery back up. Program the time and a few radio stations and then when done driving, park it and get your wrench and unhook it. I prefer to just buy a battery every 4 years and not worry about it.
