I saw the grappler on an OP Live episode a couple of weeks ago. It DOES work!
They are a little big but very effective no doubt. They got GPS darts they shoot at cars now as well but they suspect usually gets away so IMO thats a shitty way to do it.
But the victim does usually get their stolen car back in one piece so thats a plus I guess......

The clip I saw showed the deployment and literally 10 seconds later the stolen SUV came to a stop. And, no damage done.
How does it grab the wheel? I haven't seen how this one works.
