Who can tell me who produces the better of the two products?
I think the main and connecting rod bearings.

To be Installed in my Ford GT aluminum block with Oliver connecting rods.
Expected performance of the engine ... hmmm ... 850 rwhp and limits at 7000 RPM.

Ralf

Up´s Clevite

I've used both for engine builds. You should probably go with Clevite since Federal Mogul (Speed Pro) is on infinite back order for 26MM rod and main bearings. Go ahead and buy both sizes standard and 26 MM. As you build the motor sometimes you find that you need a little more and a little less here and there. I'm building an aluminum block motor as well for a customer right now and that is one thing I do not waste time with. I always buy both sizes of main and rod bearings due to different tolerances.

As for the 850 RWHP that all depends on Cams? Pistons? Exhaust and Intake Valves? Supercharger and boost level? Fuel? Injectors? Boost A Pump? Fuel System? Headers?

My car made 823 RWHP at 23 lbs of boost with only 20 degrees of timing with a Kenne Bell 2.8H. Then we made 910 rwhp with the new Kenne Bell 3.6 at the same boost pressure and same timing.

Anything is possible!

Stock Oil Pump on the GT500 is actually very good. You'll need a special assortment of ARP bolts for the windage tray on the aluminum motor. Did you get ARP 2000 rod bolts with the Oliver rods?

Looks like you should have what you need. My engine designer provided me with the additional bolts.

Good luck with the build. If the bolts are incorrect or improperly sized you should determine the proper size and contact ARP for the correct bolts.

Anything is possible when you build these motors. Been there done that.

4.6 Can I use this stock for the 5.4 engine take aluminum,
or is there differences?

Ask questions about.

Ralf

Ford 4.6 DOHC Clevite Coated Race Main Bearing Set HK : eBay Motors (item 200247875805 end time Apr-11-10 08:33:21 PDT)

not the same as the cast iron blocks,

the 5.4 alum motorsport block takes its own bearing set one cap is different.

took me two sets to get a complete set .

the main stud set is different for the alum block also , with the outer studs
being bigger . you can buy two sets or order them separate from ARP.

it would be cheap insurance to use a melling or MMR oil pump , it is
a fraction of what you will have invested in this motor. and i have
broke the stock ones .......JEFF

Hello Jeff,
i have found my Bearing combo.
Aluminum block main bearing part# 149M Federal Mogul
(Info: Cast Block main bearing part # 148M Federal Mogul)
Rod bearings part# CB 1442HK Clevite
That should fit.

I have only found this Main stud: ARP Main Studs - 4.6/5.4 - Alum block - no Windage Tray Part # 156-5802

With the Melling I give you right.

You can call Accufab and they can set you up with the right ARP studs to fit everything on the GT block. It depends on whether you are using the windage tray/stud girdle what main studs you use. ARP also has some high dollar main side bolts, but I think they are like $25 a piece or more iirc (I actually think they are balancer bolts now that I'm thinking about it?). You gotta pay to play... I'm waiting for my parts are still in the container at sea.
Still needs to ARP Studs order and now a question to the experts.
Are they in the picture, the Studs that I need in addition?
I will not order two sets of ARP # 256-5701 and ARP helps.

Ralf

GT alum block.
