Chicago Land/Midwest Region Cobra owners, its that time to meet up again. The meeting place will be held at Bill’s Drywall in Mokena, IL on Saturday June 21, 2003. We will spend part of the day there. After we had our fill of coffee and doughnuts we are going to get our cars dynod. We (Dan, Tim and I) are looking to get the cars dynod at High Speed in Chicago Ridge. So, the question to the Cobra owners, who would like to get their car dyno’d? How many pulls would you like? Price will depend on how many pulls we can get and how generous Mike is at High Speed. Not everyone will want to get their car dynod and that’s ok.
As of now, here is the agenda.

* Meet at Bill’s Drywall around 10:00 to 11:00 a.m.
* Have our fill of coffee and doughnuts
* Pass out a few door prizes.
* Leave Bill’s Drywall at Noon or 1'ish
* Car rally to High Speed..
* Eat Lunch at High Speed (possible Pizza)
* Dyno the cars

This will probably change but it’s a start. If you live closer to High speed and wish just to meet us there that will be fine. There are no rules!!!

Everybody is welcome, so bring the fam and friends.

The boys from Indy, St Louis and Wisconsin that promise to come to our next meeting, this is your chance.

I would like to get a head count of those who are attending. You can reply to this thread, Personal Message (PM) or Email me at [email protected]

Oh Hell Yesss! I've been giddy ever since our last meeting. Its great to see that this one will be even better than the last.
who would like to get their car dyno’d?
Me, If its a reasonable price.
How many pulls would you like?
At least 2 or 3 (I'm easy to please)

John - if you need any help setting up, or want me to bring anything, I'd be happy to help.

The meeting sounds really good. I'd love to dyno mine while it is stock.

I'll have to see if I can get off work that day.

Any ballpark figures on costs?

It would be great to meet the other Cobra owners in the area! :)

itpphoto,

You can be first on the Dyno machine. PM me on what time you would have to leave the Dyno shop.

One question for ya John,. . . . Is the Dyno a DynoJet or a MustangDyno?

Where in the hell is FearBlueR1??? I really want to see what that baby will put down with the RR 2.76. Hello? Come out, come out wherever you are. :)

The dyno is relatively new and it is a Dynojet. He does A/F readings as a matter of course.

June 10, 2003
Test & Tune 6-10-03

Test & Tune events at Route 66 Raceway consist of an open time trial and testing opportunity for individuals looking to fine tune their drag racing skills.

Our Test & Tune program is open to any class of vehicle as long as it passes NHRA technical inspection as set forth in the 2003 NHRA Rulebook. To steal an old phrase it is an event of “run what ya brung”. You will see everything from family minivans to full-blown alcohol dragsters and funny cars. Since these participants are testing, they will be running as hard as they can to get every bit of performance from their machines.

The Phil’s Inc. Automotive Warehouse is the title sponsor of the Route 66 Raceway Test & Tune program, while Auto Meter is the presenting sponsor.

During these events there are no eliminations, no purses, and no prizes or awards.

Tickets $10.00 per person
Childen 12 and Under are Free
Run Card $25.00

Tuesday, June 10
04:00pm-10:00pm Gates and Tech Open at 4:00

Fearblue and I were looking for you Saturday night at Miami Subs.
huh??? where is Miami Subs??? I better start watching out :uh oh:
I'm going to Route 66 Tues. June 10 for test and tune.
I'm going for the first time on June 17th. I'll be stock then, but hopefully I'll have a lil' somting at the meeting :D

flyn high again- make sure you show up at 3:30pm. That way you're one of the first in line for tech, and one of the first to head down the track. I saw one L make about 6-8 passes before 5:00pm because he showed up ultra early.

Thanks, it's been about 5 or 6 years since I've been there. I went to the first test and tune night they had after they opened. No traction at all. I'll try to get there early as they are probably more crowded now-a-days. See you at the meeting/dyno. :)

Remember the left lane is the good one!

Miami Subs is in Highland, Indiana, just west of Indianapolis Blvd.

I'll see you guys at the dyno pull. Maybe I'll have the headers on and my timing problems resolved by then.

Dana
