Was wondering if anyone here has dealt with their kid having Cancer or a serious medical illness.
The reason I am asking is, my 10 month old might have Retinoblastoma, I was feeding him in mid October and the light had caught his eye a certain way, I was able to see a orange glow towards the bottom right of his pupil. The next day I had taken him to his primary, they did a exam and said "they do see a spot" He is being referred to a ophthalmologist on the 13th of this month. It was the soonest they can get him in besides making him wait til January. From what I have read so far about this eye disease, it is pretty common. My biggest worry is that he would have to have chemotherapy or have to have the eye removed.
I have tried to keep this in all to myself, but it is starting to eat me a little, I guess the worst thing was reading about it at night when he is a sleep. He seems fine, starting walking at 8 months old, and is now climbing stairs. I just needed to get this kind of off my chest. If anyone has information on this, I would appreciate it.
Thanks in advance.
