which do you prefer and why?
I thought you wrote your own manuals, Sharpie?
Yup, just download the software. I had a copy for the W463, my God are factory manuals and service information nice.Forgot to add: If it's for engine overhaul, I'll spend the cash on the factory manual.
Neither. Youtube.
Buy the factory manuals on ebaywhich do you prefer and why?
They also are very generic and don't give you the actual knowledge you need.this. Although I’ve used and still have some books. I am more so a visual learner and YouTube in this regard really helped me / is helping me do more than I thought I could.

"remove the 4 14mm holding the stater, an extension maybe needed"
Go on YouTube and the guy shows you how to use a 2x4 to lift the engine up slightly and the 8 extensions and swivels you'll need along with removing the headlight to get that hard to reach 4th starter bolt out.
You see the real world problems and how to solve them.
