M-9424-M50BR Mustang Ford Racing Intake Manifold Boss 302R GT 2011-2014 | CJ Pony Parts

Give your 2011-2014 GT some racing-inspired performance with the Boss 302R intake manifold from Ford Racing! This intake manifold is made from a light-weight composite material, and features high-quality fitment and shorter runners, which offer your Mustang optimum flow at higher RPMs.

Bill demonstrates how to install this new intake manifold in our 2013 "Gotta Have It Street" Mustang, including the installation kit. The Ford Boss 302 intake manifold kit includes the fuel vapor hose, fuel lines, and intake bracket, as well as the hardware necessary.

The first step in installation is to remove the original intake manifold, JLT cold air kit, and fuel rails, following Bill's tips and instructions. Then, prep the new Boss 302 intake and secure it in your engine bay. Make sure to torque the screws on the intake in the proper sequence demonstrated in the video!

Reconnect everything, extend the wiring harness for the purge valve, and replace the covers. Lastly, Bill installs the new strut tower brace and our installation is complete, taking between 3-4 hours.

I know this doesn't do MUCH for a stock GT, but until I get the $$ for a pro charger together, or twin turbo, is this worth the money?
I normally use my car just for street driving and a few runs at the drag strip (the later I'm guessing would benefit from the higher RPM gains) would it do anything for a stock car in terms of HP and torque with nothing done, but a Steeda CAI, and Steeda tune (which would need to be re-tuned I know)!!!

The short runners on the Boss intake have been known to work really well with boost so if you are adding a centrifugal supercharger or turbos you should see nice power gains. Below 7000 gains with basic bolt ons will be minimal. You won't lose any power with a proper tuned car but you won't see huge gains either. Over 7000 it will pick up power but you don't want to spend a lot of time over 7500 with a stock 5.0 motor.

So this is one of those mods like a throttle body, that by itself it doesn't do much if anything but helps out down the road!!
Well I got my answer.... No need to spend money on it now!
