My clutch is starting to slip on my 2008 Shelby , I just ordered the McLeod rxt 1000hp kit from American muscle. I was wondering what other parts I would need for the install? Please bare with me this is my first clutch replacement , from what I was told I will need a new throw out bearing and slave cylinder from ford is that correct ?

So no throw out bearing needed ?

On a S197 the bearing is part of the slave.. it is an combined unit..

The throw out bearing is in the Hydraulic Slave. The pilot bearing is separate and should be replaced when performing a clutch replacement.

Agreed! You should always replace the pilot bearing. It's a cheap part that's not worth risking, mostly because the labor is so intensive to replace one. While you're in there, why not get it done?!

Good luck with the install OP. Let me know how you like the McLeod!
