My 13 GT500 had this issue when I would run C16 then back to 93 pump gas. I changed out the EGR valve and haven't had a problem since.

it could be caused from new tune.

I had just changed my lower pulley..

I've been running a performance tune since car was new..

I put in pulley tune and get a handful of codes..

this being 1 of them..

data log showed dfpegr don't do anything except show 5 v..

switch back tune and all works again..

I have no idea what gets changed in tune to cause this..

Are you sure the tune has it turned on. I know it is able to be shut off.

The tuner said he had it turned on and used the stock setting for the egr stuff. Or if he had it turned off would that make this code pop up ? Check engine light doesn’t come on it’s just in the pending codes

I had my tuner shut it off at one point to see if the light would come on it stopped the light but went into the same pending codes and wouldn't allow for an inspection here in NH.

Since it started after a tune likely just over looked by your tuner. Get in touch with him/her and have them correct. It's an easy fix if that's all it is.

If that's not it then just the usual EGR diagnosis. Just google P0405 and you'll see how to check voltage to the sensor etc.

if you have a scanner that reads real time.you can see sensor voltage.

I had forgot to mention..I had just replaced my sensor for codes in the summer..

I followed pin test in our pc/ed (power rains control emmissions diagnoatics)ection of manual..

this is found in our full sized pc based manual from link in stickys.

Ok thanks I’ll give that a look yeah I contact my tuner and he said he put everything on the egr stuff back to stock . Just to know what would make that code pop up in the new tune if the egr was turned off would that code trip ?
