I am looking at putting in the 102700 or 102600. i have 355 gears, long tube headers, no cats, flowmasters, perf products intake tbody and plenum, k&n fipk and preditor. i dynoed at 249hp and 280 tq. what should i get from adding cams and do you like the 102700/278ah or 102600/270ah for this set up.

I have the 102700's with an accufab tb/ plenum,intake, bk shorties,3.73's, fidanza adj cam gears and put down 290 rwhp. The pistons did have to be fly cut.

fly cut basically means the pistons have a groove in them in order to compensate for the amount of room it takes for the valve to travel down so that they dont smash against the piston, i dont see why you shouldnt make 280-300rwhp

Comp cams said that i would not need to fly cut.Why did that other guy. Did he change pistons?

I dont know what pistons comp is using. On the stock pistons with those cams the valves hit. I think it was around .060 they cut off. There is a ring around the outside of the piston that sits up a bit more then the middle. That has to trimmed down. I would have pics but i threw all the stock crap away after the bearings spun.
