Eating a steady diet of government cheese, and liv
jack up the car under the control arm so the tire is off the ground and the suspension is still loaded. grab the tire at 12:00 and 6:00 and wiggle the wheel&tire assembly. any slop is most likely a worn wheel bearing.

there's no preload setting or anything like the old days. just torque a new nut down to 250 lb/ft and put a new dust cap on and go.
