coyote vs 4.6 rod length

If I am looking correctly it looks like 5.0 and 4.6 use the same journal size and rod length at 5.993. Can anyone verify this? I am asking because I have a set if cobra rods in my garage and if I can just buy pistons to have a rotating assembly that would be awesome!

I believe the scj motor uses the cobra rods.

They are the same and are interchangeable.

Talked with a person who did a build for his 5.0 using 4.6 cobra rods (stock rods), naturally made by mahle. The difference in displacement is due to the piston in the 5.0 being shorter in height. I almost didn't believe it when he told me, but tis true!

yup lots of n/a 4v guys use coyote or boss rods cause theyre stupid cheap
